The Field Runners iPhone App is one fun game.  Once you get started, it’s pretty addictive and soon you won’t be able to put it down.

I have spent so much of my life playing tower defense style games. I can remember missing all kinds of important events like weddings and even a bar mitzvah to continue unleashing death and destruction on my enemies. The only problem was I couldn’t take my laptop everywhere I went.

Well thanks to the folks at Subatomic Studios LLC my prayers have been answered. Now the addictive nature of tower defense is mobile and awesome. If you are familiar with this genre of games you will have no trouble making the jump from computer to iPhone.

For those of you who are new recruits listen up! The object is to place towers in the path of your enemies and blow them out of existence. You must keep upgrading and deploying more towers to stem the hordes that will be assaulting you. If this doesn’t make any sense to you fear not. There is an in game tutorial that will answer any questions you might have.

The feature I like most about this game is the ability to zoom into the battlefield without losing any of the high quality graphics that the game supports. The game costs $4.99 so it isn’t the cheapest game out there for the iPhone, but the cool thing about the tower defense genre is the ability to replay the same levels and experience a different type of game every time.

This app is iWorth It…I only wish that it came out a little earlier, maybe my family would still be talking to me.
