9-Toolbox iPhone App Review
iReview | May 12, 2009 | Comments 1
Let me start out by saying: This is one nifty program. This App is purely pragmatic, which can sometimes be rare for the iPhone. Each of the tools will likely be used at some point by everyone, and having all of these additional features in your iPhone (and in a single tool no less!) is a powerful way to improve your iPhone’s default functionality.

Let’s take a look at each of the nine tools in the toolbox:
Currency: Pretty self-explanatory. It has an easy-to-use menu that allows you to convert just about any major currency to any other major currency. Plus, with daily updates, you can always be sure that it’s accurate.
Date Calc: This tool has more limited uses, but I’m sure if you think back there’s a few times when it would have been useful to have. Essentially, it allows you to find out exactly how many days are between to given dates. If you ever need to know immediately how long it is before school ends without doing tedious multi-month calculations, then this tool will certainly have a place in your heart.
Days Until: This is perhaps the least useful tool of the bunch. It’s name spells it out nicely, it allows you to set a date in the future, and then it has a countdown until that day. If there’s a birthday you have to remember it’s useful, but there are superior programs for that sort of thing.
Holidays: If you want to make sure you’re not missing any holidays this is a pretty useful tool. It lists all the holidays coming up and how many days away they are or how many days have passed since they occured.
Inclinometer: Now this is a useful tool! If you ever want to check if a surface is flat, you no longer need anything else besides your iPhone. Whether you’re setting up shelves or checking out a table, this tool will always come in handy.
Loan: Just like it says, this tool calculates everything to do with loans. You can enter the amount, the term, the annual interest rate, and it will spit out the monthly payment, avg interest, total interest, and total amount. If you’re in the moneylending business yourself or you want to make sure you’re not getting ripped off by a loan service, this is the tool for you.
My Girl’s Day: Undoubtedly, guys around the world will find this tool useful. While I’ve seen the other tools in this program offered individually in other Apps, this one is truly unique to this App (at least to my knowledge). Essentially, it’s a calculator for “that time of the month” for your girlfriend. It calculates when she’s most likely to get pregnant, and when her next “time of the month” is likely to appear. No self-respecting guy would be caught dead without this nifty tool.
Tip Calc: Pretty simple. Enter the amount, tax rate, pre-tax amount, and a tip percent, and it calculates all the tip. Plus, it allows you to split it up among multiple people.
Units: I seriously wish they had iPhones when I was in high school. This tool totally eliminates the need for lengthy calculations or even an expensive TI-83 calculator (in some classes). This program will make science, math, or statistics a total breeze. With it. you can easily convert units from Area, Length, Pressure, Temperature, Volume, and Weight to different corresponding units.
These nine tools provide a great amount of flexibility, and certainly deserve a spot in your nine pages of Apps. Definitely iWorth It. As an added bonus, while it normally costs $4.99, for a limited time it’s available free, so make sure to pick up your copy soon.
