iWorth It App Reviews:

How did you get into developing apps?

Cygen:

I’ve always enjoyed created tutorials. Presenting them in a great medium helps get your message across more efficiently. The iPhone had the right type of navigation and feature set to be that great medium.

What was your inspiration for developing this app?

Cygen:

I wanted to give developers the opportunity to learn no matter where they were. Making the app engaging and the examples practical was key. With videos, projects that can be emailed to you and real world, to the point, examples, I believe the app offers that engaging, practical method of learning iPhone programming. For those areas the the app doesn’t cover, I step in and engage with developers directly, answering programming related questions and having general dialogue on iPhone development.

How long did it take to develop the app?

Cygen:

I bought my Macbook around mid December 2008. From that time through January, minus the holidays, I spent learning how to create an iPhone app and also learning the time consuming provisioning process. My first app, dotnetIQ, was submitted mid February of 2009. It was released into the app store February 23.

Are there any hidden features to the app?

Cygen:

Not at this time.

Do you have any future plans for this app?

Cygen:

To continue adding more tutorials and covering more areas of the SDK. I’m using a different video editor now. Going forward, customers can expect a more detailed experience when watching video tutorials.

Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in the App Store?

Cygen:

Yes and it will most likely be in 2010. I’m planning updates to some of my existing apps this year. The next big area for me will be game design – something I’ve very much have been wanting to do.
