iWorth It App Reviews:
How did you get into developing apps?
Elecron:
We saw an opportunity to get our game Caster to more people, so we ported it to the iPhone. We also were excited about addressing the challenge of creating a great control scheme for a first person shooter on the iPhone. At the time it was a new frontier for game design.
iWorth It App Reviews:
What was your inspiration for developing this app?
Elecron:
Probably the greatest inspirations for Caster were, MegaMan, DragonBall Z, Oni (early game by Bungie), and P.N.03 by Capcom.
iWorth It App Reviews:
How long did it take to develop the app?
Elecron:
Well, Caster took me about 5 years to make by myself (while working on the side of course). The port to iPhone only took my friend and I about 2 months while working in the evenings.
iWorth It App Reviews:
Are there any hidden features to the app?
Elecron:
Nothing intentionally hidden… except for a cheat code.
iWorth It App Reviews:
Do you have any future plans for this app?
Elecron:
Absolutely. Caster has been updated with the first 3 missions of the next chapter and there is much more new content and game play on the way. I plan to continue updating the game in sort of a serial release fashion. No extra charge for any updates.
iWorth It App Reviews:
Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in the App Store?
Elecron:
Yeah, I will more than likely release another App or two to the iTunes App Store in addition to the updates to Caster.
