How did you get into developing apps?
Renkara Media Group:
Renkara Media Group got its start when the App Store opened its doors. RMG started working on its first iPhone application in March 2008. RMG was one of the first 4,000 developers to be admitted into the developer program and had 5 applications in the App Store on Day 1.
iWorth It App Reviews:
What was your inspiration for developing this app?
Renkara Media Group:
The inspiration was an immediate need. One of our team was studying Turkish and was carrying around a deck of 1,000 handwritten flashcards. AccelaStudy was designed to replace the deck and to improve on the whole flashcard learning experience. Our spaced repetition algorithm makes study vocabulary a much more efficient system than any plain flashcard app.
iWorth It App Reviews:
How long did it take to develop the app?
Renkara Media Group:
The first version of AccelaStudy was built between March 2008 and early July 2008. Since then, we’ve gone from the initial 5 applications to over 130 versions of AccelaStudy. We’ve also released over a dozen free updates to the application since version 1.0.
iWorth It App Reviews:
Are there any hidden features to the app?
Renkara Media Group:
No.
iWorth It App Reviews:
Do you have any future plans for this app?
Renkara Media Group:
AccelaStudy for iPhone is currently available in 16 languages with more languages on the way. We also have plans for extending the AccelaStudy tools to other areas of study besides language and vocabulary development.
iWorth It App Reviews:
Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so, when can we expect to see them in the App Store?
Renkara Media Group:
Renkara Media Group now has three lines of business: product development, professional services, and content partnerships. Product development is centered on expanding our own product offerings, including AccelaStudy for iPhone, The Factual Intellectual, and others. We plan to release approximately 10-15 applications per quarter in this line. RMG also partners with leading content providers like Soundview Executive Book Summaries, Versaly Entertainment, and others to deliver unique content via elegant, native iPhone applications. Finally, RMG provides professional services to individuals and companies interested in leveraging our experience in building iPhone applications to turn their own ideas into new iPhone applications.
